The Medical Assistant Certification Program's flexibility is a high point for me. Other than the skills labs we have once a month, the rest of our assignments are self-paced online work. As someone who works full-time as a CNA, logging 40-plus hours a week with a family–I like that I can do the assignments as fast or slow as I need. Our in-person skills lab instructors are excellent. They don’t rush you. They take time to ensure you understand the skills you’re learning and even account for extra time at the end of each skills lab session to go over previous skills we struggled with. They want to make sure we succeed.

Turn your passion into a purpose with one of the following programs:

Before discovering the University of Providence, I felt it was too late for me to return to school. As a mother and wife with a full-time job in her 30s, I just wasn’t sure I could make school work in my life. With the encouragement of my co-workers, I enrolled in the Medical Assistant Certificate Program. As early as orientation, I discovered I wasn’t alone, that many more students my age or older were enrolled in the program.
